Bridging Rail and Road
Kouvola RRT is a modern inter and multimodal terminal that serves equally the growing needs of national and international freight traffic.
The futureproof Kouvola RRT enables the efficient loading of even extra-long trains (1,100 m) as well as the accompanying services for feeder and distribution traffic. As the terminal kicks off, Kouvola will fortify its position as a dependable, safe, cost-effective, and smart logistics solution for Finland’s domestic transport as well as traffic to the Baltics, Scandinavia, Europe, and Asia.
Administered by Railgate Finland Ltd., Kouvola Rail and Road Terminal functions under ‘open access’ principles where connections, capacity, and services are equally accessible for all operators.

Reefer containers may be stored in Kouvola RRT.
The hazardous materials / IMO units handled in the Kouvola RRT are unloaded or loaded via the dock area to the first load zone, from which the majority of units continue their journey to the customer within two days.
According to plans, the northeast section of the terminal will feature an IMO field where those units that will remain in the terminal for a longer period of time can be conveniently stored.
